The Landon Kingsway Foam Spreader is a critical discharge component used within fixed foam firefighting systems, designed to efficiently distribute firefighting foam throughout protected hazard areas. Installed at the termination point of the foam distribution pipework, the spreader converts the incoming foam solution into a controlled discharge pattern, ensuring rapid and effective coverage of enclosed spaces containing flammable liquids and high-risk equipment.
Typically utilised in transformer chambers, oil storage compounds, fuel pump rooms, generator enclosures, and boiler houses, the foam spreader enables firefighting personnel to introduce foam remotely via a dedicated foam inlet, minimising personnel exposure to hazardous environments during an emergency. The tapered internal design promotes uniform foam
distribution while helping to maintain the
performance characteristics required for fixed foam suppression systems.
Manufactured from heavy-duty steel and finished in a durable blackcoating, the foam spreader is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and provide long-term operational reliability. Available in either 2 1/2″ or 3″ BSPP connection, the unit integrates seamlessly into fixed pipework installations and is suitable for use as part of systems designed in accordance with British standard recommendations. A maximum of three foam spreaders may be connected to a single foam inlet pipe, allowing effective protection of larger risk areas.

Typical System Operation
During a fire emergency, foam concentrate is introduced through a dedicated foam inlet cabinet / connection and transported via fixed pipework to the foam spreader. The spreader then disperses the foam evenly throughout the protected enclosure, creating a foam blanket over the hazard area to suppress vapours, cool surfaces, and assist in extinguishing flammable liquid fires.
