FUEL STOP CAPILLARY FIRE VALVE CFV
Fuel Stop Capillary fire valves are a legal requirement for fuel burners. Approved by OFTEC to OFS E101- 2015, British Standard BS 799 part 5 the CFV Capillary Fire Valve is a ‘remote’ fire valve fitted to automatically shut off the fuel flow, in the event of an overheat condition, in a fuel burning appliance. The Capillary Fire Valve CFV will fail safe and shut off in the event of failure of the capillary or sensor.
This unit is only suitable for use with Class C and D fuel oils as well as Biofuel
blends up to B35.
All Fuel Stop Capillary Fire Valve CFV models are suitable for use with suction or gravity fuel systems at –0.8 bar (-12 psi) vacuum and 2 bar (30 psi) positive head.
No maintenance is required, provided that the Capillary Fire Valve CFV is correctly installed. The Capillary Fire Valve CFV must be tested annually by subjecting the sensor to the models rated shut off temperature and ensuring the reset/shutoff button on the underside of the valve body pops out automatically indicating that the CFV Capillary Fire Valve has activated. Once the sensor has cooled push the reset/shutoff button back in to re-open the valve.
The Fuelstop fire valves use Viton seals and seats. Which means they are compatible with bio-oils that meet the EN14214 standard. (it is not possible to make a sweeping compatibility statement about bio-oils. This is because there are many different types and people can blend their own). Using a bio-oil that has not been made to the EN14214 standard could damage the brass and the rubber seat, leading to leaks and other damage. In short, Fuelstop fire valves are fine for use with bio-oils that meet the EN14214 standard.
